Emily Yonce, AMFT

(she/her/hers)

Associate Clinician

Welcome! My name is Emily, and I’m so glad you’re considering therapy as a part of your journey. Navigating life’s challenges can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to face them alone. Whether you're working through anxiety, depression, relationship stress, or grappling with gender and sexuality questions, I am here to support you with care and compassion.

I work with children, teens, individuals, and families, and I specialize in trauma-informed practices and experiential modalities. My approach to therapy is collaborative, warm, and rooted in a person-centered framework. I believe that each individual is the expert of their own life, and my role is to create a safe space where we can explore your unique experiences, thoughts, and emotions together. As someone who is passionate about supporting neurodivergent and LGBTQIA+ clients, I understand how vital it is to approach therapy with an affirming and inclusive lens. These communities are a core part of my identity, and I’m committed to providing a space where you can feel seen and heard, no matter where you are in your personal journey. I recognize that identity—whether related to race, gender, sexuality, neurodiversity, or family dynamics—shapes how we experience the world, and I honor that in my work.

I offer several therapeutic tools including play therapy, sand tray therapy, and art therapy directives. These modalities allow for a creative and expressive approach to healing, providing a way to process emotions that might be difficult to articulate. My goal is to help you develop new coping skills, uncover your inner strengths, and build resilience in the face of life’s challenges.

When I’m not in session, I enjoy spending time with my cat, reading, traveling, and rollerskating. I believe in the healing power of creativity and exploration, and I bring these passions into my work as well.

If you’re ready to take the next step in your journey, I’d be honored to support you. Together, we can create meaningful change in your life.

Fee: $90-130/ 55 min session
