Allison Hamre, ASW

she/they

Associate Clinician

Welcome, or welcome back, to therapy! My name is Allison Hamre and I use she/her/hers and they/them/theirs pronouns. I’m an Associate Clinical Social Worker (ACSW) with a Master’s degree in Social Work from Cal State Fullerton. I have ~10 years of experience as a clinician in a variety of settings with all sorts of folks, especially the LGBTQIA+ community.

My primary therapeutic framework is person-centered and trauma-informed, which means that I believe that every human has experiences with trauma, trauma affects everyone differently, and all trauma is valid. Since every client is different, I draw from a wide variety of disciplines and modalities to provide each client with individualized care that speaks to their needs and therapy goals. My other treatment specializations include (but are not limited to):

  • Depression and anxiety

  • Trauma and complex trauma

  • Non-traditional relationships (ENM, polyamory, etc)

  • ADHD

  • Gender diversity

  • Sexuality (orientation, education, dysfunction, etc)

  • Folks who identify as disabled

  • Breakups

  • Relationship/family dysfunction

  • Weight/body size stigma

  • Transitioning out of high-control religions or groups

When not providing therapy that is engaging, helpful, and occasionally  bordering on fun, I enjoy reading books about history and listening to comedy podcasts.

Fee: $90-130 per 55 min session
